STUCO
In École Mondiale world school, the Student Council is an elected representative structure through which students can get involved in the affairs of the school that benefits the school and its students. Students get the opportunity to make valuable contributions to the effectiveness of the school and their involvement in the operation of the school which is itself a valuable part of the education process for the students.
They often also help raise funds through school-wide activities, for social causes, and helping people in need. These activities give an opportunity to acquire the sort of communication, planning and organizational skills which will be of benefit to them in their future lives. StuCo at École Mondiale enables students to take responsibility for projects and to demonstrate that they can manage and successfully complete them. StuCo also contributes to the social events like our Christmas Carnival and helps organize Prom night for the outgoing class of grade 12 annually.
STUCO Positions: There are three categories of positions; STUCO Core Committee, House Captains and Class Representatives.
The Process of Election: Students who fulfill the criteria are eligible to nominate themselves for the various positions. Members of the council are elected through an either in-person or online election process.
