THE ART HUB was a vibrant and creative Exhibition held by the PYP students at École Mondiale World School on 3rd and 4th March 2020. Our Head of Primary, Ms. Maree Butler, in the presence of Ms. Helen Stanton – Head of Teaching and Learning, Ms. Shamal Sarfare – Head of Arts Department, and our students to whom the artworks belong, inaugurated the Art Exhibition.
Ms. Maree addressed the PYP students after lighting the lamp. The event was declared open by unveiling the giant Big Book of student-teacher pictures from their creative expressions photoshoot. Ms. Maree also launched ‘Creative Expressions’ – A book dedicated to the ever-enthusiastic team of PYP and EYS teachers with their pictures and captions.
Parents, students and members of the teaching and non-teaching staff enjoyed clicking pictures at the photobooth with vibrant props.
We are overwhelmed by the great response from the parent and teacher community for the bidding of items displayed at the Silent Auction. Our own teachers created all the items displayed and the proceeds will be used towards a social cause.
This exhibition had a variety of displays right from paintings on canvas to installations, pottery, Portraits, Human figures, Origami, Still life, and so on. All the PYP students visited the exhibition throughout the day with their teachers and thoroughly enjoyed the visual treat. Our students felt proud and were delighted to see their works displayed.
