Our students recently participated in an enriching day-long program designed to enhance their IB experience. The day was divided into four engaging sessions:
1. CAS Exploration: Students delved into CAS procedures and brainstormed solutions for real-world issues like "Plastic-free August" and "Cracker-free festivities," linking their ideas to CAS learning outcomes.
2. Team Building: Engaging activities fostered stronger bonds, enhancing collaboration and communication skills among students.
3. TOK Deep Dive: Students explored the nuances of Theory of Knowledge, with a special focus on the 12 TOK key concepts. This session challenged students to think critically and expand their cognitive horizons.
4. Networking Lunch: The day wrapped up with a delightful lunch at JW Marriott, offering a relaxed environment for reflection and meaningful conversations.
This enriching program not only deepened students' understanding of CAS and TOK but also strengthened their teamwork and critical thinking abilities, leaving a lasting impact on their IB experience.
CAS Trip Orientation sessions:
Additionally, the students of Grade 11 will be going on a CAS trip to Sri Lanka from the 13th to 20th of October. An orientation session was held for the parents on Friday 9th August to intimate them of the itinerary and the program of the trip. There was also an orientation for the students on Tuesday 13th August. In both sessions Mr. Mark Alexander from the Happymiles Outdoor Learning was present to answer questions and brief the participants about this exciting experience - a chance for our G11 community to push themselves, support each other, and learn more about the world around them.
