IBPYP (International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme) is a child centred, challenging and stimulating programme, designed to generate enthusiasm for learning as a life-long process.

Within the PYP, an inquiry-based programme, we will provide students with a foundation of essential concepts, knowledge, skills and attitudes. The British Cambridge Primary Curriculum serves as a base for the achievement levels that need to be reached by our students.

Apart from the core subjects like Languages, Mathematics, Science and Social studies, Art, Music, Physical Education, Computers, Drama, Yoga, Swimming, Dance, Design & Technology(Grades 4 & 5)and French (Grade 4 & 5) also feature in the learning schedule. Learning is not restricted to the classroom or the subject being handled. Where appropriate, subjects are taught through a fully integrated transdisciplinary scheme that is cyclical in nature and appropriate in both content and skill level. This is called the Programme of Inquiry. We also provide an extensive range of academic and recreational activities that are scheduled after school, twice a week.

The PYP operates in the belief that children are naturally curious and open to learning, that they are creative, imaginative and resourceful. The focus of the programme is to capitalize on these natural dispositions by providing meaningful activities in which children can become absorbed, committed and successful.

We recognize that learning is a social activity and teachers employ a wide range of teaching techniques and strategies in order to provide for the various learning styles among the class members. Teachers encourage learning from others by grouping and pairing children for appropriate activities.
