Aims
The International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) offered by Cambridge International Examinations, is a two- year course offered to students in grade 9 & 10. Students will be studying the curriculum of the IGCSE within the MYP methodology of the International Baccalaureate and will have the opportunity to sit for the IGCSE exams at the end of year 10. It is not compulsory for any students to sit the exams, because the school will have end of year exams to decide on promotion into the Diploma Programme.
In most subjects, there is a choice between core and extended curricula, making IGCSE suitable for a wide range of abilities. As per the Association of Indian Universities, a minimum of five passes with grades A, B or C is equivalent to 10(Ten) years Secondary School Certificate of an Indian Board.
Students are encouraged
to question, evaluate, think critically and independently, to work collaboratively,
investigate and explore the connections between subjects. The school seeks
to give students an international perspective and foster a commitment to help
others and act as responsible citizens in their own community, their country
and the world.
