Arising from our Mission
Statement, we see our educational responsibility as three-fold:
The Person
We believe that each child is unique in his or her own learning ability and
interests and we are committed to stimulating and developing these to the
individual’s highest potential. We believe that confidence in his or her own
learning ability as well as competence in using acquired knowledge is the
bedrock of development for all future learning. This is best achieved within a
safe, nurturing and creative environment.
The Learner
While respecting traditional values, we believe that progressive education and a
programme of studies will empower the students to lead fulfilling and productive
lives in a changing world. We believe that academic learning is most effective
when it is based upon active learning experiences, creative problem-solving and
critical thinking. The international standards of the International
Baccalaureate are presented with clear expectations to students, staff and
parents.
The Global Citizen
We believe that each student should be valued and enabled to discover and
appreciate who he or she is, what he or she may become and that he or she can
make valuable contributions to the family, school, state and the world. The
programme encourages understanding and appreciation of world cultures and a
respect for the world's environment. |
